The issues likely to dominate debate in Maine in 2024

The foremost challenge for Maine’s economy is plateauing workforce growth, according to the 2023 “State of Working Maine” report released by the Maine Center for Economic Policy this fall, which outlined a need to support growth by addressing pay, childcare, immigration and housing, among other proposed solutions.
