New Economic Policy Analyst at MECEP: Garrett Martin to work on health policy and sustainable development

Augusta – The Maine Center for Economic Policy is pleased to announce the hiring ofCBPP logo Garrett Martin as economic policy analyst.   Garrett joined MECEP  in February and will focus on health policy and sustainable development. Formerly  Garrett was the Director of Program Strategy at the Maine Community Foundation and a former Associate Director at the Genesis Community Loan Fund. Garrett brings years of experience in community economic development including work in the Mississippi Delta, India and Ecuador.

“I’m delighted to be back in the public policy and economic development arena.  I’ve admired the breadth and depth of MECEP’s research and analysis for years,” states Garrett  “and am eager to contribute to their efforts to promote shared prosperity for all Mainers.”
 
Garrett has an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master’s degree in public affairs (economics and public policy concentration) from Princeton.

Garrett Martin lives with his wife and two children in Bremen, Maine and serves on the Damariscotta Planning Advisory Committee.
