“Some of the lowest income folks wouldn’t benefit from this kind of policy,” said James Myall, Economic Policy Analyst for the Maine Center for Economic Policy. “They already don’t owe federal income tax because their income is too low or they’re receiving other credits like a child tax credit that’s offsetting some of that income.”
