Study shows that Maine needs thousands of direct care workers

When the CBS 13 I-Team met with study authors at the Maine Center for Economic Policy last year, they showed that as the care gap goes unaddressed, it’s costing Maine’s economy $1 billion dollars each year.

Now, in a follow up study, they estimate 2,300 full-time workers are needed to bridge this gap.
